Our client is a well-regarded, privately owned company delivering comprehensive, statewide fire protection services. Operating across Fire Pumps, Wet Fire, Electrical, Plumbing, Passive Fire and Maintenance, their work is aligned to Australian Standards, statutory requirements and industry best practice.

About the Role:

Due to continued growth, our client is seeking an experienced Pump Technician to join their Fire Services team.

As a Pump Technician, you will be responsible for the inspection, testing, servicing, and maintenance of fire pump systems across a range of commercial and industrial sites throughout the Perth metropolitan area. This is a hands-on field role suited to someone who takes pride in quality workmanship, compliance, and reliability.

You will work both independently and as part of a supportive, highly skilled team, delivering critical fire system performance outcomes for clients.

What we need from you:

  • Inspect, test, service and maintain fire pump systems in accordance with AS 1851
  • Carry out fault finding, rectification and minor repairs on fire pump installations
  • Work on associated systems including controllers, valves, tanks and diesel/electric pumps
  • Complete accurate reporting using tablet-based systems
  • Liaise professionally with clients, site contacts and internal teams
  • Ensure all works are completed safely, compliantly and to a high standard
  • Participate in infrequent weekend work and a rostered on-call service as required

What you’ll bring:

  • Experience with fire pump systems or similar mechanical/hydraulic equipment
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  • Reliable, safety-focused work ethic with attention to detail
  • Current White Card
  • Valid manual driver’s licence
  • Knowledge of AS 1851 and relevant Australian Standards (highly regarded)
  • Background in fire, mechanical, electrical or plumbing services (highly regarded)
  • Experience using digital reporting tools (highly regarded)
